Last June, Open Cloud Factory and NexTReT, in collaboration with the National Cryptologic Center (CCN-CERT) and with the participation of the Sindicatura de Comptes of the Valencia Community, organized an event aimed at delving into the benefits that EMMA CCN-CERT brings to cybersecurity, its implications for our Administrations, and the current regulatory framework.
Around twenty public administrations from the Valencian Community attended the event with the purpose of becoming familiar with the current state of cybersecurity and understanding the relevance and urgency for all organizations to raise their awareness in this regard.
Various speakers participated in the event, including Salvador Sanchez, Director of Business Development and Partnerships at Open Cloud Factory, Manuel Serrat, Head of Service for Information Systems and Technologies at the Sindicatura de Comptes of the Valencia Community, and Jordi Torruella, Managing Partner of NexTReT Cybersecurity.
In his presentation, Salvador Sanchez highlighted the importance of having nationally sourced cybersecurity tools and provided an overview of the primary benefits provided by EMMA. These benefits range from comprehensive network infrastructure monitoring and access permission management to network segmentation and the creation of secure VPN connections. Notably, he also mentioned its contribution to compliance with regulations and standards.
Manuel Serrat explained the EMMA implementation process from the beginning and presented the perceived benefits of the solution from the perspective of the Sindicatura de Comptes of the Valencia Community.
Jordi Torruella gave a detailed presentation on the National Security Framework, detailing EMMA’s contribution to it and the necessary actions for its compliance. Likewise, the relevance of having a certified partner at the high level of the National Security Framework, such as NexTReT, to achieve the highest level of security was emphasized.
