Did you know that when we are in a meeting in Microsoft Teams, it flips the video horizontally of the person who is presenting? It shows you the image of what you are showing in mirror mode. Something that you see clearly when you show some written paper, a book or a blackboard in a meeting and the text is upside down.

The mirror mode of the camera, it is only seen by the person who is projecting, the other participants in the meeting see the image correctly, being able to read the text without any problem.

Although the rest of the participants read the displayed text correctly, it can cause confusion for the person in front of the camera, since in order to correctly read what is being shown, they must read the text directly, not the screen.

To avoid this, Microsoft has included a new option that avoids this mirror effect and makes the person who is showing the video see the video in the same way as the rest of the participants.

To avoid mirror mode, once we are inside the meeting we must press the three points that appear next to the camera, then Device Settings, and finally in Video Settings, activate the Mirror my video option.

A very useful function in training environments, or in meetings where we show a whiteboard or a piece of paper with something written on it.
